A few recent photos.

Now that my camera is repaired, and I have a little spare time, here are photos from my trip to Nottingham a couple of weeks ago.
By Robin Hood's statue... he won't hurt me!
Robin Hood made of flowers. Bless.

Becky in Starbucks... towards the end of the day. Tucking in!

This was the best map of the town we could find... from 1610. Well at least it was AD and not BC.

So long, Colourful Flat!

I handed in my flat keys this evening. It's sad. I loved that flat. I loved sharing with Sarah these past couple of months since we finished uni. We made cups of tea and didn't sleep much from all the work we were doing - her especially with her 2 jobs... I'll miss her, though Cambridge is not far, she will only be there from January; before that she will be in the middle of the Pacific! Nice! I failed in my mission to have my room spic and span by Sunday. It's now Monday and it's done yet... Maybe one day! Yesterday I went to church, then went to Kilimanjaro for lunch with Nadia - we had the most delicious butternut squash soup. A-Ma-Zing! We went to the Oxfam bookshop and I found this 2000 edition of Spring Harvest Songbook. And I've started to learn a couple of songs on the piano. I can read music and know the keys on the piano - it's just synchronizing both... Fast... So it's taking me about 5 minutes to play a 30 second song... And that's only the right hand. I'll get there! We have a full house just now, with Christina's brother-in-law David, and his son, Julius. Thank goodness they both speak good English (David's from NY and speaks English to Julius, though his mother speak German to him). So them, me, the 4 kids and Christina... Fun times! Up early for my childcare course tomorrow, so time for bed!

A regular day in Edinburgh

This morning I slept in, in spite of Felix shouting the house down at 7:30 and Kaj entering my room thinking it to be empty around 10. I got up shotly after this, in a bad mood. I don't know why because I had a fantastic evening in Monster Mash with Brittany last night... Perhaps the knowledge that my day would be spent cleaning my old flat. I cleaned the flat's kitchen, bathroom, boxroom and my room for 3 hours, filled 4 bags with rubbish from around the flat, emptying all the bins and took over the last of my stuff. All that is left is 2 IKEA bags of stuff to be charity shopped. I got back to the house and met Christina's brother in law, who I'm glad to say is American! Here I was, thinking I'd have to remember all that ancien high school German to communicate with this man and his son, staying with us til Friday! But no... Just plain English. Thursday evening I spent with Nadia in Favorit. It was brilliant and I really miss her when I don't see her for a while. We've got to a stage where we're accountable to each other and I really enjoy sharing with her and listening to what's going on with her. Lovely Nadia! And as I mentioned earlier, last night I saw Brittany which was great. Good laughs and getaway plans. Tonight I need to finish finding homes for all my things in my room. I have challenged myself to get it all done by Sunday... Sunday's tomorrow, so it needs to be done! Photos when my camera's repaired... good thing it broke now I have to say, it's 2 weeks til the guarantee runs out. Only problem, the shop I got it from is now only online. So it may take a while. Bum.
